When Terry Garchinski was 5 years old, the arm of a baseball pitching machine hit his head, damaged his brain and paralyzed the left side of his body. Over time, as movement returned, he learned to walk again. People would say to him, “you are lucky to be alive!” The five year old would reply, “You are lucky to be alive too!” Terry believes that it does not have to take a brain injury to appreciate life but it can help!
