When your only option to get pregnant is in vitro... The costs, the emotional roller coaster and when hospital staff and friends decide to criticize every move you make. On top of all these emotions Teri is being chastised for conceiving while being in a gay relationship. In vitro is a tough process and our guest today Teri will speak from personal experience how trying it is. But she keeps positive as it is all worth it when she will hear the positive words "you are pregnant". Teri will also talk about why they chose conception over adoption.

Teri Voyna RN, BSN is a registered nurse specializing in intensive care. She is also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Nursing at a local university. Teri and her wife, Kris, have been a couple since January of 2000 and were legally married in Iowa in 2009. Teri and Kris have spent the last year and a half trying to conceive thru advanced fertility methods (IVF, IUI). Teri will talk about the difficulties in conceiving, the emotions involved, the massive cost, and why they chose conception over adoption.
