Today on Navigating the Cancer Maze I interview Peter Trayhurn, a 47 year old proactive, empowered and recovered cancer patient, husband and father of two. Diagnosed in 2010 with colorectal cancer, a tumor called adenocarcinoma, Peter had surgery, removal of a portion of his colon and was treated with radiation therapy and chemotherapy. He was considered clear. However a recurrence in 2012 saw him with peritoneal and liver metastases – given his poor prognosis, he chose to attend Hallwang Clinic in Germany with the Grace Gawler Institute and a group of Australian patients last October 2012.
