Guillaume Bonn is third generation of a French Family born in Madagascar, studied Politics and Economics in Montreal University and graduated from the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York.
 Lived and grew up in Tananarive, Djibouti, Sanaa, Nairobi, Kathmandu, Saigon Geneva, Paris covering Africa as a photo journalist for nearly two decades from war-torn Congo to Mogadishu. In 2011 Vanity Fair commissioned him to photographically document the plight of the African elephant in the feature article Agony & Ivory, which reached out to 1.4 million readers worldwide.
