There is one thing that will trip us up again and again and again and yes again. Our Toxic Shame Cycles. Toxic Shame can be described as the often hidden yet embedded sense that there’s something wrong with us or that we don’t matter. Although the fear and pain this brings affects us greatly, it is actually the many strategies that we developed early on to avoid this pain and fear that seem to cause the most havoc in our lives. There is little more empowering than becoming aware of the toxic shame we carry and then the breaking of the destructive cycles caused by our toxic shame avoidance
