In a recent global survey, more than 80% of customers said they care as much about a company’s values and level of social responsibility as they do about the company’s offerings, employment practices, and/or profitability. They want businesses to balance their economic gain with the welfare of their employees, the society and the environment. As a result, companies are realizing that it’s not a matter of whether to engage in CSR, but rather how CSR can be employed to support the company’s goals. Today, some of the best and most profitable companies understand that CSR can be good for business.
