Michael Laughy

Michael Laughy is Assistant Professor of Classics at Washington and Lee University in Lexington, VA. He holds a BA from the University of New Hampshire in Philosophy, Anthropology (Archaeology), and Latin, and an MA in Greek and Latin Literature from the Washington University in St. Louis. He received his PhD in Ancient History and Mediterranean Archaeology from the University of California, Berkeley. Since 1997, Dr. Laughy’s field work has been mostly focused upon modern and ancient Greece. He currently serves as field supervisor of the Athenian Agora Excavations in Athens, Greece, where he has excavated since 1997.
