Did you know that emergency service professionals that are at a greater risk of suffering long-term stress that can lead to post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)? In fact, the rate for diagnosable PTSD among firefighters was significantly higher compared to the general population. With little media coverage and serious under reporting of PTSD in first responders, there are few resources dedicated solely to these women and men.
