In the late fall of 2012, seven days before “Super Storm” Sandy hit the Jersey Shore, the US National Weather Service’s GFS model predicted it would spin off into the Atlantic. The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) model, however, projected a direct hit on the Garden State. Have you noticed that weather web sites sometimes vary their weather forecasts?
