Accredited by the American Sanctuary Association, SWCC is presently home to numerous mammals, reptiles, and birds and is the only accredited holding facility for large predators in the State of Arizona. SWCC’s Nature Center schedules regular tours of the facility for school groups, community organizations, and the general public, and her staff and volunteers have developed a traveling education program to visit schools and community events to teach children and members of the community about wildlife and the environment.
