Julie Decker is the Director and CEO of the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center, Alaska’s premier art, history, science and cultural institution. The museum recently completed a significant expansion that included the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center, Imaginarium Discover Center, Thomas Planetarium and ConocoPhillips Gallery. Through innovative initiatives such as the Polar Lab, Julie is leading the museum beyond its expansion to become a model for community engagement, addressing contemporary issues that build identity and reflect what it means to be human in the North.
