Vinnie Hack

In 08 Mr. Hack was involved in a crane accident, suffering the loss of his left leg below the knee. Mr. Hack spent the next 4 years being prescribed high doses of Oxycontin and oxycodone. Doctors said he would be addicted to these medications for pain relief to walk for the rest of his life, when in fact, they were shortening his life. Mel Pohl, MD, FASAM is a Family Practitioner and the Medical Director of Las Vegas Recovery Center. He is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine (ABAM), and a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). Dr. Pohl is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the U of Nevada School of Medicine.
