Jeffrey K. Smith

Jeffrey K. Smith is Professor of Education and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Education at the University of Otago in New Zealand. Prior to coming to Otago, he was Professor and Chair of the Educational Psychology Department at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. From 1988 through 2005, he also served as Head of the Office of Research and Evaluation at The Metropolitan Museum of Art. He studies issues in learning in cultural institutions, educational assessment, and the psychology of aesthetics.
