Dr. Pam Crabtree

Dr. Pam Crabtree is an associate professor of anthropology at New York University. She earned her Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Crabtree’s primary area of research has focused on the study of animal bone remains from Anglo-Saxon sites in southeast England as a way of understanding early medieval animal husbandry practices, hunting patterns, and diet. She has taken on several new projects in the past few years. She is now the zooarchaeologist for the Amheida Project in the Dakleh Oasis of Egypt, the Early Bronze Age site of Shengavit in Yerevan, Armenia, and the Kyzyltepe project in Uzbekistan.
