Mark Paxton is owner along with his wife, Charlie, of Shamvura Camp established in 2001 on an ancient sand dune. Mark and Charlie take personal interest in guests' comfort and enjoyment of the area. A Namibian citizen, Mark is a qualified game ranger with over 40 years of comprehensive experience and knowledge of environmental issues. He is a well known naturalist with a wide and varied interest in fauna and flora, with familiarity about the diversity of natural habitats throughout Namibia.
