Gary West

Gary West who currently is a frequent contributor to ESPN, was a regular columnist for the Dallas Morning News and Fort Worth Star Telegram. The son of a jockey, West was a college teacher before returning to the racetrack and writing about horse racing. He has appeared as a commentator on racing on ESPN and on CNN, and has hosted his own radio program on racing. He wrote several books about horse racing, and notably "Razoo At The Races: Diary of a Horseplayer" which is one of the funniest books ever written about the racetrack and horse racing.
