Ann chats with Stress and Anger Specialist, Dr. Jim Slaughter about the stress they experienced during Ann's brother's heart attack and family emergency during their week in Heart ICU. They discuss the skills to manage the stress and how families and loved ones can gain the skills to survive the drama and emotional toll on the body. Listen in as they discuss what happened to them and their family physically during the emergency and how they managed it well which allowed them to care for the loved ones around them to decrease their stress.

Dr. Jim Slaughter

As an Air Force officer, local church pastor, professor and counselor, Jim brings a wide background of ability and experience to the coaching process. While in the Air Force, he was a captain who trained combat air crews with the Strategic Air Command. Jim went on to earn his masters degree and Ph.D. at Dallas Theological Seminary, joining the faculty there after serving a seven year pastorate in California. Jim has taught at the University of North Texas and at Amberton University in Dallas. He has presented at conferences, workshops, and retreats, and has contributed to textbooks, magazines, and professional journals through numerous published articles.
