Bill Allred

Bill’s musical legacy started, indirectly, in New Orleans. His grandmother was born near New Orleans in the town of Franklin, LA. His father, John, was a jazz pianist and banjoist on many of the steamboats of the great “Strickfus Line” playing in and around New Orleans as well as up and down the Mississippi and Ohio rivers. Bill was born near the banks of the mighty Mississippi River in Rock Island, Illinois. He has played trombone since his teenage years and then in college, and the U.S. Navy.
