Ann chats with Jeff Meek, World War II historian and author of the book, They Answered The Call. Ann is joined also by Dr. Jim Slaughter, who, himself, is a veteran.
Since January 2007, Jeff has completed 286 veteran oral histories. He tells the veteran’s stories in his book and newspaper columns, “They Answered the Call,” and “The Veteran’s Vault.” A copy of the interview is given, at no charge, to the veteran and a copy is also sent to the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.
