If there’s one person we can turn to – to explore the role DEBATE moderators / and members of the press/ play in shaping elections, it’s legendary news anchor, Jim Lehrer.
Jim Lehrer is the former executive editor and news anchor for the PBS NewsHour. Lehrer joined the National Public Affairs Center for Television (NPACT) as a correspondent, which led to an Emmy-winning collaboration with Robert MacNeil for their continuous live coverage of the Watergate scandal.
