Before age 40 Tieman struggled with alcoholism after achieving success as a CEO in the addiction treatment and behavioral healthcare field. In his new memoir Tieman shares the story of how he chose not to follow the expected path of becoming a pig farmer like his father and rose to the top in his chosen career while embracing recovery from his own alcoholism.
