Karen Spencer has worked in education for her entire career. After graduating from Valparaiso University in Indiana, she went on to receive her master in education degree from the University of Virginia. Her love of education began when she was a tour guide at Valpo and in the admissions office of the Curry School of Education at UVA. She began her professional work in residence life at Hope College MI and then at Franklin Marshall College PA in admissions. Mary Sue Youn

Mary Sue Youn joined College Coach after many years in college admissions, most recently at Barnard College, where she served as the senior associate director of admissions. As the senior manager of the admissions staff, Mary Sue coordinated admissions recruitment travel, and trained and directed the application reading and review process. She chaired the admissions committee and reviewed thousands of applications from both firstyear and transfer admissions applicants. Prior to her tenure at Barnard, Mary Sue was an admissions counselor at Whittier College and directed the merit scholarship process for the college.
