Mimi's current passion is volunteer work for Elephant Nature Park, a true sanctuary, near Chiang Mai, Thailand, and her next trip will be to Cambodia to do volunteer work there to help establish an ENP-style sanctuary there. From her travels to places not usually on the radar for most tourists, she has Family of Choice in Indonesia and Albania.

Originally from Wyoming, she spent several decades in Minnesota but now lives in St. Petersburg, Fl, where she no longer shovels snow. Currently, she teaches a yoga class called, “The Luxury of Slowness.” Mimi had taught yoga and vegetarian cooking in Minnesota but earned her yoga certification from Rishikesh Yog Peeth in Rishikesh, India, in 2013.
