Ann chats with Alexis Duncan, a 22 year old accomplished champion trap shooter placing 2nd in the Texas State Championship about young ladies in the shooting sports and how it has benefited her life. Alexis also shares about her diagnosis of Celiac Disease and SVT and how it has affected her life and shooting career.

Alexis Duncan

Beginning at age 4, Alexis shadowed her father and grandfather around to trap shoots in Texas. She was raised watching some of the greatest shooting competitors in the United States in action, and she retained what she observed. By age 13 she started competing shooting trap with her dad and helped run the Tarrant County 4h clay target program. From age 13 to 18, she helped coach and teach dozens of young competitors. She competed in several Texas state competitions with her grand father, father and brother. She has an intense knowledge of firearm safety and continues to give firearm safety and proficiency lessons. She is a respected member of the shooting and hunting community.
