Dr. Carlo found Latino immigrant youth who reported feeling discriminated against had more depressive symptoms, were less likely to perform altruistic behaviors, be compassionate or empathetic or care for others. U of Missouri Professor Carlo has been elected a Fellow by the American Psychological Association's Board of Directors.
