In this episode host Brooke Wagner interviews Nancy Brady, special education advocate and expert in supported typing and assisted technology to explore and learn more about her journey as a mom to her son with autism, Nick. We will learn how supported typing has given Nick a "voice" by affording him the opportunity to express his thoughts and opinions, connect with his community and have greater access to higher levels of academic work. In addition, this episode will review the progression many individuals with autism go through as they learn to communicate with this type of scaffolding.
