Along the way Houghton has earned leading-rider titles at Tampa Bay Downs, Mountaineer Racetrack, Detroit Race Course, Pinnacle Race Course, and the 2015 Winter/Spring title at Mahoning Valley Race Course. Overall Houghton has ridden in 33,470 races and his mounts have earned more than $54 million. He recently won the Jockeys Guild Award for Comeback Rider of the Year.
