May 10th 2016: The Costa Report Interview Fred Kaplan
My guest this week is Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Fred Kaplan, – who will be here to shed light on the history of cyber war and the difficulty of knowing when - and when not - to strike back.
Fred Kaplan is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. At the end of 2002, Kaplan quit The Boston Globe and was hired bySlate to be the “War Stories” columnist covering international relations and U.S. foreign policy. Kaplan has authored several books on military strategy, and has written for other publications including The New York Times, The Atlantic, The New Yorker, Scientific American, and The Boston Globe. His newly released bestseller, "Dark Territory: The Secret History of Cyber War," recounts how cyber warfare impacts military policy.
