It is currently ranked as the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, but recent findings indicate that the disorder may rank third, just behind heart disease and cancer as a cause of death for older people. It is devastating for both the person with Alzheimer’s and the family. When Judi and Shari Zucker were told that their mother had a form of Alzheimer’s they set out to find ways to slow it down. We’re going to talk about what they learned and what they did to help slow down it’s progression.
