Amelia Blakeman

Amelia Blakeman is an independent dress maker and owner of the Portland dress boutique that goes simply by her first name Amelia. After making and selling clothes as a side business for a decade, she quit her day job for good in 2013 and opened her store in Portland's Alberta Arts District. The store showcases clothing and jewelry made in the U.S. by independent female designers like herself, with a focus on feminine and vintage-inspired designs. Amelia believes strongly that your clothes should fit you, not the other way around, which is why most dresses come in plus-sizes and all come with complimentary in-store tailoring.
