Blumenthal was a major figure in the Grand Jury investigation leading to the impeachment of President Bill Clinton, as one of 4 witnesses called to testify before the Senate. He was a principal character in Hillary Clinton's Libyan policy discussions, leading to the exposure of Clinton's unsecured private email server. He has written for several publications, including the Washington Post, Vanity Fair, and The New Yorker.
