This week I'm traveling to FSU for a presentation to the students. I will be interviewing staff and students to get their take on alcohol and other drug use and misuse on their campus and campuses around the country. Don Swogger, the Director of the SAFE program at FSU is a 25 year veteran in the field of higher education alcohol and other drug prevention. We will talk about the progress the field has made over the past 25 years.

Don Swogger

Don Swogger is the Director of the SAFE Office on campus and advises the BURG Peer Education Network. During his 25 year tenure at Frostburg State University, he has been regionally and nationally recognized several times for his leadership contributions to prevention and peer education. Don received his M.Ed at Frostburg State University and has conducted numerous trainings, presentations and workshops over the past 30+ years. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member to the Department of Kinesiology and Recreation and developed one of the IDIS courses on campus.
