The world’s oceans are being exploited and polluted and many millions of us would rather not acknowledge it. The problem just seems too enormous for many of us to fully grasp and unfortunately we are all just so busy & distracted. The world could use an ocean-healing movement to inspire us to action, and here it is: Heirs To Our Oceans is: (1) a group of 10-13 year olds taking the ocean crisis into their own hands, (2) a global movement, and (3) a full-feature movie in-the-making. April has been an activist for most of her adult life. When her younger daughter Dakota was in preschool & her older daughter Charley was in kindergarten, April left her profession and decided to homeschool them so that they could study eco- & socio-justice issues as an integral part of their curriculum.
