Our minds tell us stuff that isn't true. It plagues us with beliefs we got from family, school, television or magazines. We hear messages like: you aren't very smart; you aren't thin enough or macho enough. The range of negativity and constant bombardment is so intense that most of us believe what we hear in our heads.
