Cancer does not discriminate. It impacts all of us, in every corner of the world. In fact, more than 14 million new cancer cases are diagnosed each year with more than 8.2 million cancer-related deaths—more than AIDS, tuberculosis or malaria combined. About 70% of cancer deaths occur in low and middle income countries. Because of this, there is a significant need to raise awareness of the global fight against cancer, increase education about cancer and prevention and increase the amount of support networks in place.
