There’s not that much regulation and testing that happens with pet products, especially products that are supposed to keep your pets safe while they’re in the car. Join us today as we meet with Lindsey Wolko, the founder of the Center for Pet Safety, discuss how her organization reviews and tests products to make sure they’re safe. Afterward, we will meet with Sleepypod and Gunner Kennels who sell Center for Pet Safety certified products to keep your pet safe while you’re driving on down to the dog park.

Lindsey A. Wolko

Lindsey Wolko is an internationally recognized pet safety and consumer advocate. She works on behalf of pet owners to ensure the safety of pet products and bring oversight and accountability to the highly unregulated $60B pet products industry. After her dog Maggie was injured by a safety harness in 2004 Lindsey conducted years of consumer and pet products industry research. In 2011, after completing a ground-breaking pilot study examining the crashworthiness of safety harnesses, she founded the Center for Pet Safety. Lindsey developed the first instrumented crash test dog, and has authored the first pet product safety standards.

Addison Edmonds

A Tennessee native, Addison Edmonds grew up around dogs – but one British chocolate lab named Gunner altered the course of his life. At age 21, while still an undergraduate at the University of Mississippi, Edmonds formed his first company: The Indoor ADvantage, a marketing firm that specialized in advertisements placed in the restrooms of restaurants and bars.
