Cancer treatments have become so successful that the number of cancer survivors will reach an estimated 20 million in the U.S. by 2026 according to The American Cancer Society. Yet, while the rate of survivorship increases, so does the need for help in dealing with the trauma after cancer. Krauter reaffirms that survivors need to speak up and be heard about how cancer has touched their lives.
