Acting Outside the Influence: A look at society and sexuality
December 18, 2020
Hosted by Christi Anne Bela
In a world where conversation therapy still exists, its vital that there are therapists who specialize in working with diverse sexualities & relationship styles, Dr. Ryan Witherspoon has affirming therapeutic approaches & techniques with sexually & relationally diverse clients. In addition to the support he provides to his clients, he also trains therapists to be Sex-positive. The Western cultural influences on sexuality & intimate relationships affect us when we act differently from those influences. This can lead to depression & anxiety around how you express your sexuality. Therapy is for everyone, regardless of how much you are struggling or what those struggles are. No matter what kind of intimate relationship(s) you are in, the most important thing is to cultivate the skill to understand & empathize with each other's feelings. We will dive into how to identify & talk about your experience & get the support you need to be honest about your sexuality.
