Episode Description

April has ended but the need for Autism Awareness has not. Autism Spectrum Radio is continuing our discussion of a wide range of topics that relate to the autism community. This week we revisit an important subject, race and autism. Cultural stigmas, access to quality information and advocacy can all play a role in the discrepancies that continue to persist with diagnosis and care in different communities. This week, Rob is excited to welcome father and advocate Ahmad Islam to our show to share his experiences and information to help bridge the gap. Be sure to catch this episode of Autism Spectrum Radio, Tuesday, May 8 at 11 AM.
