Toxic Shame can be described as the often hidden yet embedded sense that there’s something wrong with us or that we don’t matter. Although the fear and pain this brings affects us greatly, it is actually the many strategies that we developed early on to avoid this pain and fear that seem to cause the most havoc in our lives. There is little more empowering than becoming aware of the toxic shame we carry and then the breaking of the destructive cycles caused by our toxic shame avoidance strategies, enabling us to heal ourselves and our relationships. This is the work that appears to create the most solid foundation for furthering ourselves and our lives, for breaking free and flowing free. Healer, Teacher, Circle Leader. Maria Rodriguez has served in these ways in her 25 years as a clinical social worker. These roles have been enhanced by Maria's gifted Channeling. She receives words, processes and images full of wonder and of truth that can speak to us all, adding Infinite Possibilities to our lives.
Maria believes that together we can see more clearly, shift more deeply and move forward more swiftly. In light of this, she developed a model for Breaking Our Toxic Shame Cycles: Healing Ourselves and Our Relationships, a model that has led many to profound spiritual and psychological transformation.
