Joan H. Geismar is an urban archaeologist in private practice in the New York City metropolitan area since 1981. Dr. Geismar has worked extensively on 18th and 19th century sites and buried ships. She is a founder and Past President of the Professional Archaeologists of New York City, Inc. (PANYC).
