Leroy M Nyberg, Jr.
Leroy M Nyberg, Jr. PhD., MD completed his residency in Urology at The John Hopkins Hospital and is board certified in Adult and Pediatric Urology. He served as the Senior Urology Advisor and Director, Urology Programs for the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) from 1988 until his recent retirement. He was a program officer on the NIDDK funded Clinical Trials as well the IC Database Project and the RICE (RAND Interstitial Cystitis Epidemiology) project. He was instrumental in developing the numerous NIDDK sponsored IC Scientific symposia. He has published over 100 manuscripts and has participated in the publishing of many journal articles and abstracts on significant Interstitial Cystitis clinical research findings, and has been a participant in many national and international meetings focusing on Interstitial Cystitis.
