Kathy Murray

Kathy Murray

Kathy Murray was diagnosed with younger onset Alzheimer's disease three years ago at age 57. Her medical records indicate she expressed concern about her memory in 1989. She tried to find reasons for the memory decline and other cognitive issues for numerous years only to be told it was either stress, normal aging, or related to menopause or depression. After her diagnosis she actually felt some relief that the symptoms were not related to any of the prior diagnoses. She retired from banking as a Senior Vice President of Operations in 2005. She is married with 2 adult sons and 6 grandchildren. She is a member of both the Regional and National Alzheimer's Association as an Early-Stage Advisor doing speaking engagements.
