Gregory E. Buoncontri

Gregory E. Buoncontri is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Pitney Bowes Inc. He is responsible for management of the company’s IT Shared Services unit (known as TechCentral) on a global basis which provides systems development and maintenance, computer and network operations, technical support services, project management, technology planning and assessments, and relationships with key technology suppliers and partners. Mr. Buoncontri is a corporate officer and a member of the Senior Management Committee. He also chairs the company’s Transformation Steering Committee which oversees productivity and business process initiatives. Mr. Buoncontri held similar responsibilities for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation (formerly Sandoz Pharmaceuticals) commencing in 1994 when he joined the pharmaceutical industry. Following the merger of Sandoz and Ciba-Geigy in December of 1996, he directed the integration of those companies' IT functions as the CIO for Novartis IT activities in the U.S. Prior to this, he held senior executive positions in IT at both ABB and Combustion Engineering, where he led the deployment of state-of-the-art financial, manufacturing, engineering and scientific systems. Mr. Buoncontri grew up in New York City and he holds a Bachelor's Degree in History from Fairfield University. He and his wife, Barbara, have three children and two grandchildren.
