Helaine Olsen
Helaine Olsen is a regular contributor to Reuters and Pacific Standard.. Her work on personal finance, parenting, families, books, feminism, politics, and career strategy (yes, she sometimes merges them all!) has been published in numerous print and on-line publications, including The Guardian, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Slate.com, Salon.com, BusinessWeek, AlterNet.org, Babble.com and The Los Angeles Times, where she wrote and edited the popular “Money Makeover” feature. She is the co-author, with Stephanie Losee, of Office Mate: The Employee Manual for Finding and Managing Romance on the Job, a book the The New York Times called “The Rules for the office” and Time Magazine described as ”thoughtful” and “persuasive.” Most important: she wrote a book with a close friend and they remain pals to this day. Helaine is a passionate bibliophile, a fan of 1970s pop music and a lover of rummage sales. She lives in New York City.
