Cindy Richman
Cindy Richman is the Senior Director of Patient and Healthcare Relations with the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA), http://www.mymsaa.org/, a national non-profit and leading resource for the entire MS community, improving lives today through vital services and support. She joined MSAA in 2000 and serves as an advocate for patients and providers. Her focus is patient education to increase health literacy, and promoting a successful partnership with the healthcare team. The important areas she’s worked on in her role with MSAA include the impact of chronic illness and disability on the family, access to health insurance and government benefits, shared treatment decision-making to improve outcomes, and evaluating risk/benefit in an ever-changing environment.
