Kim Bearden
Kim Bearden is the Co-founder, Executive Director, and Language Arts at the Ron Clark Academy, a SACS/CASI accredited and highly-acclaimed nonprofit middle school that caters to underprivileged students in Southeast Atlanta. Bearden has received numerous awards for her creative and dynamic teaching style, including the Disney American Teacher Award for Outstanding Middle School Humanities Teacher, The Milken Family Foundation Award for Excellence in Education, and Teacher of the Year Award in Cobb County, GA. She is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2008, and received the Phoenix Award from Mayor Shirley Franklin for her dedication to the education. She is a former Finalist for Georgia Teacher of the Year and the Phenomenal Woman of Character Award. She resides in Marietta, GA with her husband, Scotty, and daughter, Madison
