Kim Updegrove

Kim is the Executive Director of the Mothers Milk Bank at Austin and the President of the Executive Committee of the Human Milk Banking Association of North America HMBANA. In her role at the Mothers Milk Bank, Kim is responsible for all missionrelated activities, financial and personnel management, and fundraising, as well as oversight of milk donor screening, milk processing and nutritional analysis, and recipient programs. A popular speaker on the topic of donor breast milk for premature and fragile infants, Kim provides educational and outreach to hospitals, community and professional organizations and collaborates with I.S. and international researchers on the nutritional effects of human donor milk. A Certified Nurse Midwife, Kim has earned graduate degrees in both Public Health and Nursing. As a NurseMidwife in New Haven, CT, she delivered 532 babies, provided well woman care, and served on the graduate faculty of the Yale University School of Nursing.
