Prakash Masand

Prakash Masand, MD, is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Global Medical Education (GME) and Chief Scientific Officer at the Atlanta Institute of Medicine and Research. He has served as Consulting Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University Medical Center and Director of Therapeutic Area Development, Neurosciences Medicine at Duke Clinical Research Institute. He is the founder of psychCME, a leading program for continuing medical education, which was acquired by OPTUMHealth. He was also named a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine. The author of more than 300 abstracts, articles, and chapters, Dr. Masand’s work has been published in journals like The New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Psychiatry, Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, and Journal of Clinical Psychopharmacology. Dr. Masand serves on several editorial boards and is a frequent speaker at medical meetings around the world.
