Bernie Steiger
Bernie Steiger is the Executive Director of Literacy DuPage in Illinois. A former Literacy DuPage tutor and staff member, Steiger guides the organization recognized in 2012 as the second largest volunteer tutor literacy organization in the United States. Currently, Literacy DuPage serves over 460 adult learners in DuPage County utilizing over 350 trained volunteer tutors.
Steiger has over 25 years of management, development and marketing experience and is also an adjunct faculty member at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Economics from Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and an MBA from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in Portugal.
